Humans that turn into monsters are differently coined as "Distortions". It happens when someone is under extreme stress. There are other variables alongside it that make this work, but I unfortunately don't know them...

But an Abnormality is born from a shape that's similar to an egg. They also never truly die, since they just turn back into their egg forms after taking supposedly lethal damage.
