No. I voted for him too, when he wasn't speaking up. I figured-- if he wasn't saying anything, it was probably because he was affected and he couldn't, right? That he'd speak up when Charles gave him the chance if he wasn't, and he wanted to live.
... I don't think I can say anything about a complicated relationship that lasted for centuries for beings who are unable to die normally. I agree with you Gregor--if he wanted to live as much as we do, then he could easily make his case like we can. I can't understand why he didn't either, but... that's just how people are, I suppose... if they lived so long.
It's not just about him. It's-- we know what we're pretty sure needs to happen with the ones who get affected, and we didn't pick her because we thought...
... People were talking about being affected with something. While I understand it's to the point of having the urge to murder someone, what... what are you talking about, Gregor?
What happens to them? What did the HER-MES message mean about "tying is the best solution"? Do we really have to off everyone that actually gets affected? Why?
It's not-- for sure. But we know what happened when they tied, right? Both of 'em died. Then we got that message. So we're just--
If we leave someone who was... pushed to kill, however you want to say it, we don't know what happens. We're risking them being forced to kill again, and we know they're still struggling with themselves after we find them out.
[unsurprisingly, this sits badly with gregor in particular...]
...yeah. But if there's anything that we can do for her, I don't know it, Yuri.
[the look he gives her there is-- apologetic. sad.
he doesn't want to see her die either, he's hoping someone finds something out, but what else do they do? leave her to kill again? on a ship that disables everything that should stop that from happening?]
... I'll go talk to her. I'll wait in the medbay for her to wake up. If she's still angry at me, then that's fine. I have to let her know about her options.
[ ... ]
... As long as she's allowed to have them, at least.
She wasn't a fan of all the tension and drama at the last minute. ...or Bradley getting voted for when he wanted to live.
[they don't see eye to eye on Why they're frustrated, exactly, because gregor still wanted rosamund to have her say if both were afflicted... but he can agree with her on a lot of it. it didn't have to be like that.]
I usually expect things to get out of hand when the trial is about to be over. It keeps happening... But this one truly was... out there, more than usual. I hope Rodya will feel better soon.

Also, thank you, Gregor. I saw how you tried to divide the people from me when I told Rosamund.
w4 post-trial
... Did you still want to see the bruise?
[ Even after everything, at least she remembered. ]

[but they know who they both were now, so--
ahhh fuck.]

... Gregor, I... voted for Bradley.
[ There's a small pause. ]
I wasn't sure if Rosamund would have died by then, and you can't vote for a dead person. So if those votes towards Rosamund got nulled, I thought...
[ Perhaps she would die? No one has not voted before. She didn't want to find out personally. ]
... Should I have done a throwaway vote instead?

He messed with her situation, too.

How was Rodya doing? ... I heard her tone change in the trial, so it must have been really serious.

[he exhales a sigh, there, smoke going with it.]
Took her to the sim rooms, worked some of that out with her-- I won't say that I didn't need it too.

[ It seems like there are so many different reasons as to why everyone is frustrated or sad about this trial to her. ]
