[ genuinely. and the comment about old work - well, that explains some things. the way she shut down is not dissimilar to the way he's seen throné do similar, and the he tucks that knowledge away quietly for later, something to unpack when it might not get blasted in her direction, though there is a faint ripple of curiosity. ]
