Yes, because the Corporation went under and everyone associated with it carried the stigma of a fallen sector of The City. People become outcasts when they're branded with such a label.

Yes, that is something that happens in The City... unfortunately. It was hard to find any Office that would accept me and my Fixer grade was low. No jobs mean I don't have as many chances to increase the grade, but no one wants to hire someone from a fallen sector.

It's a ranking system. I'm grade 8, which is the second lowest. I was mostly a contract worker, so the job wasn't as stable as I would have liked.

Contract work's not always stable, but they tend to pay more where I'm from. Something to do with specialised knowledge and being able to charge more.
