he's surprised, but not unhappy when she fully looks at him. after hiding her face and the nervous gestures she'd been doing only a moment or two before this. he isn't someone who would force another person to kiss him, or anything like that. and while he asked, he was completely serious that this was something that she had to want as well. if she'd been too nervous, if she'd said no, he would've backed off.
but she's looking directly at him, and he sees her lean in just slightly. (take your time, think things through-- but they don't have all the time in the world, and would it be better to not and regret if this place got to them first? or would he be happier knowing he tried?)
