... It's rude to try and coerce someone for your carnal desires when they don't want it.

[ she is really bringing the “Excuse me, he said no pickles” energy today and I love that for her.

shu’s pretty quick, almost reflexive, to bat the reaching hand away from him — and away from yuri as well, seeing as the vampire is probably reaching over or around her to try and get to his wrist. ]

[ he even used small words. the vampire looks a bit affronted at being called out that bluntly. ]

[ Shu has a point... so they scurry away, finally leaving the two alone. Yuri sighs. ]

... Harassed might not be the right word. I reckon they just knew they'd get a whole lot of nothing, other than a maybe if they straight up bothered me the whole time. But they've been trying for a while.

[ and then got scared off by a girl nearly a foot shorter than him with bite-balm. ]

[ he shrugs. also help, he doesn't want to be chomped on. ] It's been a case of batting them down like flies, but I guess they got hungry.

[ She feels hungry too. Damn. Yuri looks over Shu's clothes and... she can see why. ]

We have many... eye-pleasing coworkers, so I guess this should have been expected.

... I got asked to wear it at least once, and figured a party would probably cover it. [ more fool him. ]

Mm. Adrastea mentioned that too. Something about the ship looking like models. Apparently we're better looking than the group they were with before, during their training.

[ Yuri seems to be in serious thought for a moment. ]

I didn't think Adrastea would note appearances, but they didn't look bad at all. Are you friendly with them?

I've talked to Adrastea more than the others, I guess. But I don't think we know any of the people they trained with before other than the people here.

Did you use your hotel special yet, Shu?

Not yet. Nice as it might be, I'm not sure I trust the vampire hotel.

I was hoping to talk to you in a place where we couldn't be eavesdropped even by chance, but...

[ Yeah, she's just going to ignore that she basically invited Shu to go to the love hotel with her (for an unrelated reason, but still). ]

[ she really did go hey boo wanna go to a love hotel to chat. good for her. ]

... It's that or a room on the ship. Hotel's probably closer though. It's something private?

[ I hope shu never lets her live it down. Yuri is still holding Shu's hand, so she starts leading him there. She passed this building too many times and wants to expire every time. The receptionist needs to check one of their IRIS devices for the free night stay. Yuri doesn't hold hers up. ]

[ shu in front of god and everyone: yeah we went to the love hotel.

shu will just hold his up without much reaction. he's ignoring the Look the receptionist is giving them. if they nudge and wink he's going to throw his phone. ]

[ Fortunately for Shu, they do not. Instead, the receptionist checks them in, gives them the keys, one each, and tells them the room number. That's not so hard to find... They eventually get to the room and Yuri is quiet the ENTIRE TIME. Do not make her speak. She'll explode out of embarrassment.

Anyway, here they are. Absolutely luxurious. ]

[ he will be merciful and not prompt her to talk for the moment. but damn. this is a fancy room. ]

Okay, I can see why someone would choose to sleep here over the ship for a change.

[ he's going to go and see if he can raid the mini fridge without consequence while yuri finds her voice again. ]

[ Raid it good, Shu. There's a bunch of alcoholic beverages with variety in them, or just bottled water. Yuri, in the meantime, sits on the edge of the bed. It's so... comfortable. This is too luxurious for her, but she'll stay! seated!! while she gets out two little data pads, a little scratched up, but it's fine. ]

I found these in the medbay the other day. It has a roster of the previous group and a video log. Here's the roster.

[ Whenever Shu comes over to the bed, Yuri will hand him one of the data pads. ]

I copied the roster in my notebook in my room just in case the pad gets destroyed. These look fragile...

— Oh, the people they trained with? [ hmm. ] There’s a lot of people on here, less than we have but that’s still a sizeable amount.

[ where the heck did a whole 20 of them go? ]

[ Yuri nods and then gives him the data pad with the video log. I didn't anticipate that curfew was gonna be plot hours until long after this and it's the same thing, so!! ]

Are these all meant to be codenames? Oscar and Jade don’t sound like them, but Metis is mentioned, Io’s there…

I was wondering about that too, but it wouldn't make sense if they didn't have any special role back then either.
