[ Yuri is over at the Food Court as if the vending machines and mess hall food wasn't enough. There are so many options and she wants to try to be adventurous today, so she looks over at Nero. ]

Um... Would you recommend anything?

Are you in the mood for something sweet or savory? I like popcorn, but there's plenty of different kinds of those.

Ah, something savory, please.

[ She's excited to see what kind of food it would be. ]

[Delicious fresh popped popcorn with a little salt and cheddar powder. He'll hand the bag to her.]

[ Oh! Popcorn! Yuri takes the bag and eats some, taking note of the little cheddar powder on her fingers. ]

Is this popcorn cheddar?

Yeah, it's a kinda flavor dust. There's a few different types, if you want to try them out.

[ Show her the world of new flavors with popcorn. ]

I feel that while they fixed the emotion and thought sharing, they broke something else in the process...

[There are so many different kinds of popcorn flavoring... Here's the chili powdering.]

I'm feeling... hungrier than normal?

[ Yuri nods and was about to speak, but then she ate the popcorn with chili powdering and it's... spicy. Help. She quickly orders a bottled water and gulps that down. ]

The caramel's pretty good, not spicy at all.

[ Yuri nods quickly multiple times, but after she downs some more water, she breathes out evenly. ]

It was... spicier than I thought.

[ Phew. ]

I'd like the caramel one, please. Do you like spicy food, Nero?

Yeah, I tend to like a lot of different flavors. I like spice if it's balanced out.

[He'll give her the caramel.]

[ She really seems to enjoy the caramel one, even if it gets her fingers a bit sticky. Ick. ]

That would be... best. I can eat spicy things, but as you said, the balance is key.

[ Phew. ]

Do you cook often?

Yeah. I've been a chef for most of my life.

[ Her interest is immediately piqued. ]

Um... if you don't mind, could I ask some questions about cooking? Like what's an easy recipe to start with when you're cooking for the first time.

Yeah, I don't mind at all. I'd say something like scrambled eggs or an omelette is the easiest to learn.

Would that, I would have to mix the eggs first, right? And then... hm.

Oh, the TV has cooking channels. I almost forgot.

With omelettes, yes. Scrambled eggs can happen in the pan.

[ Sometimes you make scrambled by accident.]

Have you watched some of those yet?

Yes, but they were testing out strange tools... I didn't think there would be a tool for actually cracking eggs.

[ She mimics the motion of it, clearly looking like she knows how to do at least that much. ]

I think they're just trying to sell stuff. It's not that difficult to crack an egg... Unless you're trying to crack a ton of 'em at once?

The tool was built for only one at a time, so it really seemed like a waste of money...

Guess people are always tryin' to sell somethin'...

If you wanna cook something, I'd be happy to teach ya some time.

You would? I would like that very much. Could we schedule a time for that some time in the future? I wouldn't want to interrupt anything that was already scheduled with something else...
