temenos is actually... in the simulation room! he's in the upper floor, though.
if yuri is coming by, she'll find a very interesting sight! namely, the room has been transformed - a stone structure, with beautiful, highly arched ceilings, hanging chandeliers, and a gorgeous stained glass window. the interior of the cathedral of the order of the sacred flame is a quiet, hushed place.
at the front of the church, there's temenos. he's sitting in one of the stone pews, looking up thoughtfully at the stained glass. he's not so lost in his thoughts that he's inaccessible (a real temenos problem), nor does it look like he's praying - he's just kind of looking off into the distance. the emotional vibes are mostly placid, thoughtful, and... if you really pay attention, there's something vaguely annoyed every now and then...
when he hears footsteps though, he glances backwards, and then smiles, calm as always. ]
[ Upon seeing such an interior, it makes Yuri want to be very quiet when she steps inside. The stained glass window is pretty and she feels like she hasn't seen anything like it before. When Temenos turns to greet her, she feels a little caught. ]
Hello, Temenos. How are you feeling after all that?
[ Also, Temenos talked a lot in that trial, so she has a bottle of water. She holds it out to him. ]
[ oh! cute... there's a little appreciative hum, a flicker of something pleasant in his emotions, and he takes it. ]
I'm quite alright. Despite everything, we managed to uncover the truth: in the end, that is always the goal. Though, I imagine our mystery will continue to run ever deeper than what we've seen today. [ so there's that. he uncaps the water, then pats the spot next to him on the pew? ]
Come, sit. Have the side effects worn off for you, too?
[ Since she's invited, Yuri goes over to sit next to him on the pew. What an experience. ]
Yes. I was at a distance when Scien's breakdown happened and I'm no longer feeling the effects. It was... rough, thinking that it could have been what Dahut felt as he died.
I have to wonder if he thought he was providing him mercy, in the end.
[ ugh. his emotions on that are...complicated, under the placid surface. there's something deeply distrustful, a sense of dislike, but the contemplative nature of someone taking apart a complex issue, too, piece by piece. ]
For the few answers that we achieved, I am glad that we have them.
He doesn't seem like the type to explain himself either. I wonder what he has planned... with the last words he said in the trial room. I don't think it's related to escaping.
[ Yuri thinks about it a bit. She's no detective, but sometimes she has to think herself out of situations. ]
[ he glances over at the pondering, and there's something quietly encouraging there, in his emotions - like yes, that's the idea. ]
No, I don't either. [ thoughtful. ] And beyond what he is willing to explain, I am curious to what he will be able to. I have a feeling that we will not learn the full story of this week's events so easily.
[ and then he was fuckin DEAD in his CELL so i guess thats true ]
He wanted to hire me as his research assistant. I went to visit him in the brig, and he told me that I could still take up the job if I wanted to, to go to his home world of an alternate Scien and provide my proof. At the very least, he didn't plan on seeing it through with me.

[ So escaping is probably a no. ]
