at the front of the church, there's temenos. he's sitting in one of the stone pews, looking up thoughtfully at the stained glass. he's not so lost in his thoughts that he's inaccessible (a real temenos problem), nor does it look like he's praying - he's just kind of looking off into the distance. the emotional vibes are mostly placid, thoughtful, and... if you really pay attention, there's something vaguely annoyed every now and then...
when he hears footsteps though, he glances backwards, and then smiles, calm as always. ]
[ Upon seeing such an interior, it makes Yuri want to be very quiet when she steps inside. The stained glass window is pretty and she feels like she hasn't seen anything like it before. When Temenos turns to greet her, she feels a little caught. ]

Yes. I was at a distance when Scien's breakdown happened and I'm no longer feeling the effects. It was... rough, thinking that it could have been what Dahut felt as he died.
I have to wonder if he thought he was providing him mercy, in the end.
[ ugh. his emotions on that are...complicated, under the placid surface. there's something deeply distrustful, a sense of dislike, but the contemplative nature of someone taking apart a complex issue, too, piece by piece. ]

He wanted to hire me as his research assistant. I went to visit him in the brig, and he told me that I could still take up the job if I wanted to, to go to his home world of an alternate Scien and provide my proof. At the very least, he didn't plan on seeing it through with me.
