Oh, sure! Soda's one of the drinks that's been new to me here, but I'm certainly not complaining about being introduced to it.

I... when I was on a mission with Nodd, Rosamund and Amalthea, we were in Nodd's memories and there were these pine things. It felt great.

I didn't know they were in these drinks...? I mean... I think they're in the drinks? We just drank from them, but this is all I feel right now.

It's fairly common to eat them as is, but there are some recipes. [jan assumes] About anything you could use other beans for, really.

I just asked for another supply! So it was another few weeks' worth, as long as I ration them.

Oh... Could you tell me the meanings? I want to know them.

Well, long ago, they saved the ancestral people of Riven from starvation. So to us, they're a symbol of hope.

[a smile]

And they grow in an interesting way too, I think. So that they're not washed away by the river current, the roots of multiple plants intertwine to keep themselves steady.
