[ Yuri isn't one to read for enjoyment, but maybe it's time to pick up a new hobby on this new planet. She picks up a copy of The Gloaming and looks up to see Rosamund, waving a little. ]
[Rosamund returns the wave, happy to trot a little closer now that she's been greeted properly. The last time she was anywhere near this girl was during...well. Let's just say it wasn't the best time for introductions.]
Yes! I didn't think we'd be near anywhere with a good selection so soon. I can't believe so many people know how to read! [Fascinating! Modern marvels abound! She takes a quick peek at the tome in her hand.] Did you find something interesting?
[ After all that, Yuri wonders how Rosamund is doing. Even though she said that she'd go back, she's not sure how the princess is faring, so she goes to look for her. Rosamund... Rosamund... where art thou. ]
Yuri strikes gold when she looks into the cargo bay, of all places. It's not her first choice of refuge, but it's a less than populated place and it holds bitter significance now.
Rosamund looks up from her perch, legs dangling off the ledge as she sits in ponderous silence. Her eyes look red and her cheeks are still tinged pink, but she's dry as a bone by now.]
[ Her movements have been sluggish from the tremendous emotions that she has been feeling lately, but she walks faster over to Rosamund when she is finally found. ]
... You handled that very well, but I can understand... it must have been exhausting in many ways.
[ So she holds up a bottle of water towards her. ]
[As she does with Nodd, Rosamund waits. The time ticks by at an agonizing pace. The clock is deeply irritating, as is the electric hums of machines. Rosamund scratches at her bandages. Unwinds them and washes the tender, healing flesh beneath.
It's at that moment she catches movement from the corner of her eye.]
Yuri?!
[She almost darts over, then remembers herself. She rips the towel loose and hurriedly scrubs her hands dry before jetting direct to the girl's pod.]
Yuri would be startled if she didn't feel as disoriented, but luckily, the pods went turbo healing this time, so she manages to wake up by nighttime. The pod opens and Yuri tries to get up, but oh she feels a little weak. ]
[ Hey, Rosamund. Yuri will be stopping by the medbay to check on her. Unfortunately, they took away the little arrow, so no suicide assist tonight... at least by arrow. But she understands that Rosamund could very much be upset at her, so she's aware. ]
Paint them? [Okay yes she's seen such things by now but the offer still comes as a surprise. Plus there's the head-emptying euphoria of seeing everyone again. She may or may not have been clinging to Yuri's hand the whole way over.] That's...my goodness, certainly you can! But, I'd like to offer you something in exchange, it's only fair. Can I try yours? Or maybe I could braid your hair?
But they're taking a break from cleaning up all the shit that got knocked around from being belted by literal worlds?? I guess? I still maintain Neverafter was represented by Jean Jacket just chucking big ass books at the ship.
Anyway they're in a pile of rollerstakes and hot dogs, pretending like nothing bad ever happened here.]
I've fought a lot of battles before, but I don't think I've ever felt both so tired and so elated at exactly the same time.

Oh, I was looking to see what would be considered as a best-seller around these parts... Would you like to take a look?
[ She holds up another copy for Rosamund to take. ]

WEEK 2: Sunday
Looking for a good distraction too?

... Yes. What are you planning to watch?

[She pauses.]
But, whatever you do, do not watch The Human Centipede. It wasn't about cute bugs at all.

W3 thursday
Rosamund... are you free?
no subject
Yuri!
[The relief is immediate. Rosamund's changed too, though she will personally live and die in skirts. She goes in for a hug at once.]
You look so much better! How are you feeling?
no subject
[ Hm. ]
I'm doing a lot better than I expected. It's thanks to everyone... how about you?

Rosamund is awake, in the pod. Just lying there staring at the ceiling. Her eyes roll over to meet Yuri's.
To be frank, it's more exhaustion than any lingering spite that dims her voice.]
You don't have to come watch over me.
no subject
[ But will she? Stay tuned. Yuri walks closer to the pod. ]
Rosamund.
[ How many times did she say her name today, so internally emotionally charged? ]
I wanted to tell you some things. Are you willing to listen? If not, I won't say it.
