[ tbf, she did see sidon and he wasn't hostile...

The customizable window has been unchanged, it being the default black space with stars here and there. She notices that he's looking over at it, so she quickly adds-- ]

You can change that to whichever you want.

A little? We don't really have things like this where I'm from...not really. Space travel isn't anything new but you have to go through a ton of training for it. And we didn't have any real windows in the stasis bay, so they could've lied about where we were pretty easily.

[ but honestly...it's relieving to know nobody's quite sure about things yet. people are...a lot. mostly nice for now, but some are loud and some are alarming. yuri at least is pretty calm, though he does wonder how she's feeling about all of this. ]

Any preference? [ he's already wandering over to see what their options are. ] If we're both going to be here, it may as well be something we both like.

[ that's a normal, nice thing to do for a roommate, right? compromise. ]

[ Whenever Shoma finds himself back inside his room, he'll see Yuri sitting on the chair next to her desk, fiddling with the moon lamp a little. When she hears the door open, she tries to clear her gloom quickly, so that she can greet him with a smile. That gloominess was really strong though. ]

Hello, Shoma.

[ oh this gloominess is a lot. he had sort of gotten the impression that yuri is a person who tends to keep things to herself and seems a little nervous about things, but this was. something to walk into.

he offers a very light smile back, though the reflecting emotion is both curious and concerned. roboji's rolling in after him, and she may notice shoma's carrying a new, small toolkit. ]

[ oh my god actually yeah after yesterday he seems to realize that perhaps he should definitely be trying to find his roommate? so shoma and roboji both are wandering down from the upper floor, heading back toward the junior crew rooms in search of her. yuri!! where for art thou!!

he does check their room first, but if she's not there he's not going to stop searching. the robot seems to wheel itself a little faster than shoma himself though, so it's actually more likely she finds it, first. ]

[ Luckily for Shoma, Yuri can be found in the hall where all the junior crew rooms are. She's about to enter the room, when she sees Shoma and Roboji.

Surprisingly, she seems fine. At the very least, she's not a nervous wreck. ]

Shoma, Roboji. I'm glad you two are unharmed... I hope.

[ Unless she can't see it for some reason?? ]

[ Yuri returns to her room, looking for Shoma. Shoma!! Is he here?! She thinks she saw him Not Well towards the end, and... she's worried about him. ]

[ he is here!! he actually seems to be removing the bomber jacket he's been holding hostage, methodically hanging it up in the closet for safe-keeping. npcs can have that back later. but when the door opens he turns to look up and face her, a flash of concern crossing through. ]

Hey. Are you okay? I heard about what happened on your investigation. [ ah. going to focus on that, huh? that's fine. it's a troubling thing. ]

w1 tuesday

[ we are in the rec room today! shoma's here, kind of parked on the floor in front of the couch and idly scrolling through the list of things on tv. the library seems pretty endless, and he's fairly engrossed for a while as he goes, but he does at least bother speaking up. ]

You really could spend the whole day looking at the titles without ever picking something. It's almost like watching your own show. [ decisions, decisions. ]

[ Yuri is sitting on the couch properly near Shoma and looks at the screen just scrolling... ]

Should we select a random one? It showed me interesting videos when I did that.

W1 Saturday

[ he waits for a little while, but he does go to find yuri. he wanted to give her some time and space, but considering what just happened he also thinks he should check on her. so eventually... ]

...Yuri. [ which is all he says solely to gauge her mood first. ]

[ He'll eventually find her in the lounge, where she sits on one of the seats like a zombie for a looong time before she hears her name, turning her head over to Shoma. ]

... Shoma.

[ She switches over to smiling. ]

Good work at the trial today. You worked really hard.

w2 thursday

[ Yuri has been speeding Shoma over to the medbay. When they arrive, Yuri doesn't even bother wearing gloves to bat the gore off Shoma. She doesn't care about that right now. She also grabs the tube of antiseptic tape to gently apply them on Shoma for any lighter things she can see such as scratches... if there are any in the first place. ]

... You can tell me what happened later. You have to heal first.

[ that's fine, he's actually a lot less fighty now that they aren't in public and seems to be trying to lean against her and leech some body warmth from her. a lot of the wounds that are visible and not under his clothes look like lacerations and bursts. like. idk. like things exploded, kind of. ]

Only for a little while. We don't have enough pods, and Throné and the Captain both need help.

w3 monday

[ you find yourself in a house, and it's more full than usual. that's probably because a lot of people invited themselves without being welcome. some twink and a dude are in front of you. to the side of you is someone else. but your only focus is on two specific girls in the room.

a certain girl you've known for so many years...and the only person in the world who matters.

you get a sinking feeling that you know why they're here, and you shift forward to block your sister from their view. you feel frantic, nervous energy, and you can see several items around the room. the kotatsu with your usual clutter (remote, tools, books.), the kitchen with some small utensils (not enough.), the stupid joke toy props you haven't gotten rid of for six years even though they're not yours and make you miserable sometimes.

you can either confront these people...or you can distract them. what will you do? ]

[ Oh boy.

These emotions that aren't hers feel overwhelming, but she must follow it, she thinks. Yuri feels protective. Yuri isn't very good at distraction tactics, but she tries to think.

Is this remote for a TV? If so, she'll grab it and turn it on. ]

[ screams. he's immediately booking it for the medbay to make sure she's taken care of, and he's going to hang out and patiently wait until she's been seen to before trying to approach. ahh? ahh!! ]

...if you need a little more after this, don't be afraid to go back in.

[ By now, she used enough of the pod to seal her wound at the very least and she doesn't want to be in the pod for 12 hours straight, so... break time. ]

I will. Don't worry.

[ Yuri decides to just lie down on the cot for a while though. She still hasn't changed out of her bloody clothes... ]

I plan to spend the curfew here tonight to use the pod some more. I want to be thorough and make use of the time that I won't be awake for.

w3 sunday

[ here we are, back in the medbay. this time he comes prepared with extra clothes, a water bottle, and snacks. if yuri's still in a pod he will simply sit and wait, but if she's since moved to the cot he will just set these things down for her. ]

Twice in one week is pretty impressive. [ lightly, but not seriously. oof. oof, oof, oof. ]

[ With the mod's blessings, the pod turbo healed her and she is now lying down on a cot because Yuri is still careful about being healed. Yuri smiles a little at that. ]

... I'm sorry to have worried you, Shoma. I'm really happy that I came back though.

w4 friday

[ a little later after all of the insanity of the morning, he does go off to try and track yuri down. he has what looks like a to-go cup of coffee in his hand and he's pretty tense when he approaches, even if he tries to soften up when he gets near her. ]

...another rough morning, huh? [ two of them... ]

[ Yuri smiles a little when she sees Shoma and smiles. ]

... Yes. I'm glad to see you Shoma. I received a letter and wanted to discuss some things with you.

w5 some time post-trial

Thanks for checking up on me, Shoma.

I also obtained Gregor's blood sample. Io will go and take a look at it when he can. I'll gather questions and send them to him--he said that he would write the report for us.

Do you have anything you want him to check against? He will be drawing his own blood along with Adrastea's too.

As a note, I won't be sleeping in our room tonight, but I'll try to get as much rest as I can.

i think the most important thing is checking for any changes in normal things
blood pressure. nanite density. any toxins that might be present in the blood
if this is more akin to a virus...those are important
ask io about his space madness research. see if he remember any more about it that he might be able to check for

[ he's. well. this was fucked up, frankly, so he is steering clear of people for a bit to give everyone a few moments to regroup and calm down. but he is still extremely highkey concerned about yuri. it's why he ventures off to find her, a to-go cup of warm tea in his hand and a mission in mind.

he eventually finds her in the rec room, but he pauses just outside of her view for a moment. ]

...I can leave again if you'd like to be alone, but I thought maybe this would help. [ holds up cup. ]

[ Yuri is there, swaddled up in a blanket on the couch. She has her head down for a while, but she looks up when she hears Shoma. ]

... Thank you, Shoma.

[ She smiles a little with her eye still a little red. ]

I... think it would be nice, if you didn't mind staying.

Yuri is at the medbay and will be working on cleaning the guts and whatever else off Shoma after he's released from the pod for someone else to take a turn. ]

[ this is fair. there's minimal healing, enough that he's not bleeding and the chest wound is closed, and his burns and bruises are healed to a minimal degree. the area around his eye is healed the most, but it's currently shut. he's probably going to have to pod himself again later, but that's later. ]

...I can take care of it. I know it's pretty gross. [ why is this the second cyoa he's come back from covered in blood and gore. ]

[ hello it is aquarium hours! it's weird to actually have a friday where they aren't dreading the next day. there's a bit of apprehension when it comes to not quite knowing what to expect, but for the time being he's able to relax a little. it's why he can be found sitting on a bench in the aquarium tunnels, idly watching fish. ]

I slept really well.

[ Yuri smiles at him. The aquarium-like place soothes her. Must be the vibes. ]

[ where is ms. yuri, he is seeking her out immediately. he also seems to have a cup of tea and some cookies in his hand as an offering for her because man. they really did so much work today. ]

I didn't think today would be easy, but this was still pretty intense toward the end. [ how are you holding up? ]
